Perception of parents and teachers in relation to the language development of children in kindergarten pre and post Covid-19 pandemic: literature review

ABSTRACT

Objective: to verify the perception of parents and teachers about the impacts caused by the Sars Covid-19 pandemic on the language development of children in kindergarten. Method: systematic literature review using the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Google Scholar, the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS), having as selection criteria full text of free access, Brazilian Portuguese language, publications between the years from 2020 and 2023. Result: six articles met the inclusion criteria and were eligible to respond to the research objective. Conclusion: although the literature is scarce, parents and teachers have shown to perceive the impacts on the language development of children in kindergarten related to the Sars Covid-19 pandemic, requiring actions in the area of language to benefit children born during the pandemic.
