Abstract

The skin is a highly effective protective barrier suffers from changes in age and especially with the changes caused by the environment. Ultraviolet radiation (UV-R) is the main risk factor for developing skin cancer, with clinical and histological changes in the epidermis. There are factors that predispose the individual to develop photoaging, such as the color of the skin, ie, individuals with lighter color are more willing to develop solar lentigines and dyschromia after undergoing a long and / or short exposure to R -UV, classified as an environmental factor. Why be an impermeable barrier, it is important to emphasize R-UV protection methods that are used to optimize this protection. Therefore, nanotechnology, nanoparticle-based formulations has been used in developing more stable and cosmetic formulations with high dermal penetration efficiency, serving as an ally for retarding skin aging.
