Abstract

The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is responsible for numerous cases of cancer worldwide, since it was highlighted this relation, the creation of vaccines against the virus is an extremely important preventive method against infections and the disease development. Several research are appearing with purpose to clarify related problems about vaccination against HPV, among them, the effectiveness of preventive vaccination method, the age range in which it is offered to the population and their biological risks. From 2014, began to be offered by the Unified Health System (SUS) the quadrivalent HPV vaccine (Gardasil ®). Before that it was only available in the private vaccination service stations. The study's objetive is to raise the studies used to determine efficacy and safety of Anti-HPV vaccine used in national immunization program and the determination of the age of the target population. The data demonstrated greater effectiveness in girls without prior contact with the virus and was not harmful to health. Even though it is available for free for one age group of the population, it is important to vaccinate girls and boys to prevent HPV cancers along with preventive examinations.
