Abstract

Forensic entomology uses important information behavior, feeding, reproduction and morphological characteristics of scavengers insects. The post-mortem interval of a body is determined from the analysis of carrion insects found in its internal and surface, beyond the cause of death and the individual location. To extract any evidence from the entomological findings there must be identification of insects species found. Is important to know the insect fauna of each location to verify that the body suffered local transport of death to the place where it was found. Climate change facing the planet, the insects"™ repertoire of each ecosystem has made major changes in a short time. This study aims to collect beetles scavengers in the State of São Paulo, city of Santa Isabel, and the classification of insects, to evaluate the current species in this location and type of ecosystem.
