Resumo

O presente artigo apresenta uma revisão da literatura com intuito de compreender de que forma a estratégia ambiental deve ser difundida em toda a estrutura da empresa multinacional (MNE), dentro do escopo dos estudos sobre internacionalização de empresas. A literatura tem contribuí­do para o entendimento das relações entre a sede e as subsidiárias de MNEs, identificando contingências onde a sede deve conceder uma maior autonomia para determinadas subsidiárias. Após a análise da literatura, é proposta uma agenda de pesquisa buscando ampliar o campo de conhecimento relativo à adoção de estratégias de sustentabilidade em subsidiárias.
