Literature in corporate social responsibility: strategies of multinationals corporations and directions for further research

Resumo

When it comes to the debate regarding corporate social responsibility and the strategy of multinationals corporations, can be said that these themes are strongly related and is an important international business issue. The literature points out those multinationals companies could be an important inductor of social and environmental behavior since they are present in several countries and deal with different stakeholders. So, this paper intends to shed light on the relations between CSR and multinationals providing a systematic review about the issue (from Scopus, Web of Science and Science Direct) and directions for further research. The outcomes indicates research opportunities to analyze CSR multinationals for emerging countries by local authors thought empirical research.

Mary Fernanda de Sousa de Melo, Universidade de São Paulo

Doutoranda em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade de São Paulo (POLI/USP). Possui graduação em Administração (2012) e mestrado em Administração (2015) pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). 

Roberta Souza, University of São Paulo

Roberta Souza works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Production Engineering at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She has a degree in Economics (1995), a Master"™s in Production Engineering (1999) and a Ph.D. in Production Engineering at the University of São Paulo, Brazil (2005). Besides, she was a visiting fellow at the University of Sussex, the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), United Kingdom, in 2004. From March 2017 to February 2018, is holding a post-doctoral position at the Centre for Research into Sustainability (CRIS) of School of Management, Royal Holloway, University of London, UK. Her main research interests are sustainable supply chains and global value chains.

Rodrigo Trotta Yaryd, University of São Paulo

Rodrigo Yaryd is an undergraduate student of Production Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (2014 to 2019). From September 2017 to July 2018 is staying as an exchange student of the Master of Science course in Management Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. During 2015 has held a CNPq junior research grant.

Willerson Campos-Silva, University of São Paulo

Willerson Campos-Silva is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Production Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He has a degree in Management (2012) and a Master in Management (2014) at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), Brazil.
